NewDomainDevelopment.com was started in the fall of 2008 by Orville J. Parker as a holding company for his domain portfolio.  Up until last year, it also included a personal blog, in which Orville journaled his journey into the world of domain investing.

In January of 2010, NewDomainDevelopment.com was transformed into a small web design/web development company the specializes in both developing and rehabbing web based properties for local businesses.

NewDomainDevelopment.com also houses a consulting, publishing and training division that will be releasing various webinars, training courses and ebooks teaching small business owners how to develop out their online presence.

The massive shifts taking place in the marketplace have caused small business owners to realize that to be competitive and survive in today’s marketplace, they must learn how to leverage the power of the Internet.

There is currently a large number of local businesses that are still operating without a web presence in today’s wired world and for the most part, this is due to the fact of the high cost associated with having a website developed for their small business.

About Orville J. Parker

FROM THE SHOW ME STATE

I was born in St. Louis, MO and spent the first years of my life being raised in the North County part of St. Louis. I am one of four children born to my proud parents From the start, I have always been a adventurous type of person, always seeking to explore my surroundings and the WHY behind things in life.

My parents later decided to relocate our family to Illinois in 1979, so we packed up the house and as they say, the rest is history! My parents decided to move us back near the area of their childhood, which was the city of East St. Louis, IL

I graduated in 1989 and soon met my beautiful future bride to be , Heather, by divine timing at a local parade. We were married in 1993 and later added a new addition to our family in 1999. We were blessed with the World’s Greatest Son, Orville J. Parker, aka Tre. In 2000 we were blessed again with our newest addition, Baby Max, on November 17th 2008.

I attended Southern Illinois University for about a year before I decided to leave school in pursuit of my dreams of running a successful business from home.

I stumbled onto the liquidation/surplus merchandise industry and I spent the next 10 years operating a small merchandising business from my home. This business taught be a lot of lessons and I was able to sharpen a lot of my business skills such as selling, planning, marketing and the proper view of profits.

I bought and sold surplus merchandise in small lots. I ended up building a large customer base which was made up of various small businesses throughout the St. Louis metro area. This business also taught me that it is better to build a business system that will allow you to leverage other people or technology, instead of you having to do everything.

In 2000, I ended up phasing out of the merchandising business and into the entertainment industry. Over the next 6 years I would apply my hands to various businesses in the entertainment industry such as a independent record label owner, online magazine publisher, local entertainment newspaper publisher and also a small film company.

I ended up walking away from my previous strategy of doing business in the entertainment industry, to embrace a new concept that involved technology, virtual systems and lifestyle management. MANIFEST MY VISION! I was blessed to be exposed to a new way of doing business back in 1995, that when mixed with the ability to leverage technology, becomes a very powerful way of doing business.

What Was This New Way Of Doing Business?

In 2006 I was introduced to the world of web design, web development and domain investing.  I was blessed to be exposed to information, resources and individuals that led me down a path of study on which I am currently actively participating.

I currently own two companies that specialize in domain investing (This is the art of investing in domain names such as .com, .net, .org and .info) and web development.  The two companies I own are NewDomainDevelopment.com, which is my web development company.  I also own a private investment company called Diversified Capital And Acquisitions, which serves as the holding company for my domain portfolio.

These days I currently split my time between developing websites for local business owners, consulting with clients,  developing out my media company and also expanding my portfolio of web properties which is currently made up of over 40+ domains.
